My home is based in my body. I experience life through my body, all that the body has to offer; touch, smell, taste, seeing, thinking, reflecting, hearing, perceiving – it’s all possible through the body. I’m curious about that exact mechanism that is our body;
The Body, the beauty of this intricate and refined system that is capable of so much understanding and gives rise to manifold experiences.
It’s been almost 20 years that I arrived in Sydney and immersed myself in all kind of inspiring practices that changed my life very fundamentally: they were all initiating the shift from living mostly in my mind into starting to feel my body, to feel my sensations and my feelings and expand from that place.
I started to dance; contemporary, contact improvisation, authentic movement and I studied Zen Shiatsu with Jack Marshall over two years and became a certified Zen Shiatsu Practitioner in 2000.
I love this work, I love to dance, I love to inquire and experience through the body. And I have learned to honor and respect this vessel for its inherent wisdom and beauty. I worked as a Shiatsu Practitioner and kept exploring other healing modalities, meditations and dances. Supporting women through Rite of Passages became another important aspect of my work. I worked alongside Roxonna Minnoa, assisting and co-facilitating in Dancing the Divine retreats and workshops.
In 2008 I left Sydney and my regular clientele and moved up to the Mullumbimby Area. Soon after I fell pregnant and gave birth to a boy. I was 42 when I gave birth, I didn’t get involved with the western medical system, I trusted my “Shaman Godmother” and in the later months a midwife to support me through the pregnancy. The Birth was very fluid and swift (some pain to push him out those last 20 mins or so) till I held the little babe safe in my arms in our simple living room in New Brighton. It was such an incredible place to have a babe; nestled between the river and the ocean in the soft land of the She Oak and the Paperbark Trees, along the river with its sting rays and the black cockatoos calling out from above.
I called in a group of dear women-friends to come and witness me in this soft, gentle land on the bank of this river as I yearned to gift myself a rite of passage to experience further what the pregnancy and birth had initiated in me; this journey from independent woman with a maiden spirit into motherhood. It was very natural for me to invoke that as I’ve been witnessing and supporting many rite of passages through my work with Roxanna Minnoa. I know the power and the importance of marking transitions, the power and inspiration that arises in going into the unknown, the void, the full surrender to that which is not known.
Early on in my journey as a mother, living with my partner and son as a small family unit I looked out for support in my personal, rejuvenating and centering practice. Following on from my feminine practices in Dancing the Divine I started to train in Tigress Yoga with Devashi Shakti and became a Tigress Yoga Instructor myself in 2012. I’ve been teaching this form over 5 years and I love the guidance, inspiration, health and vitality I gain through this practice.
Now in 2017 the time has come to dive deeper into my own soul and offer from that place. The SheSessions are starting to emerge. I finished my training in Yoni Mapping Therapy with Bonnie Bliss in August and enjoy seeing the transformation in women through those sessions.
I’m in the process of developing an ongoing 1:1 journey for women, to support them over a few months in their quest for a deeper intimate relationship with themselves, life and with their partners ( if they are in a relationship or dating).
And I’m deeply humbled to be able to have my work being my passion, to support through my offerings the re-establishment of the feminine aspects of life on this planet.
